BCM International Update
Please welcome Jasson Read to the role of BCM International’s vice president of finance. Jasson joined the BCM team in November and has worked with Jim Hess during a time of knowledge transfer. Jim is moving from his full-time role to fewer hours as he works toward retirement after faithfully serving BCM for 16 years in this ministry leadership role.
BCM president Dr. Rick Rhoads explains, “Jasson is a strategic leader coming into this role with nearly a decade in finance, finance leadership, and building strategic finance teams and financial projections.”
A multilingual finance professional, Jasson is fluent in English and Spanish. His background covers roles in education, financial services and nonprofits. He brings experience in strategic financial planning, creating efficiencyefficiency, and building teams. Jasson’s passion for ministry and God’s global work align well with BCM’s global ministry mission.
“I’m passionate about bringing my finance skills to a missions organization because I believe stewardship is ministry,” says Jasson. He believes healthy financial systems create clarity, accountability, and sustainability, which ultimately protect and strengthen the mission. As he leads the finance team to manage resources well, his work allows ministry leaders to continue their focus on discipleship and global impact.
BCM’s long history of ministry to children and churches around the world drew Jasson to pursue this role. “What resonates deeply with me about BCM’s mission is not only its commitment to reaching and discipling the next generation, but also the incredible foundation that has been faithfully established over the past 90 years. That kind of longevity speaks to God’s faithfulness, strong leadership, and a culture of integrity. I see my role as building upon that great foundation — honoring what has been established while helping position the organization for continued growth and long-term sustainability.”
Jasson is most looking forward to strengthening systems, improving financial transparency, and supporting strategic planning in a way that safeguards the legacy of the past while preparing BCM for the future. He shares, “My desire is to serve with excellence, humility, and vision — contributing to the next chapter of what God is already doing through this ministry.”
Please welcome Jasson to this significant leadership role at BCM. We are grateful for your prayers for all of BCM’s ministries, missionaries, and staff members who support our mission to reach children and strengthen churches worldwide.
